Forestry Mulching, Land Clearing, Stump Griding, Gravel Driveways, & Site Prep – Trusted by Homeowners and Farm Owners Across Goshen, Mt. Orab, Wilmington, Harrison, New Richmond & all surrounding areas.
Cornelius Forestry and Land Management started with a simple desire: Rob Cornelius wanted to clear his own property. As the son of a Caterpillar shop foreman, Rob grew up around heavy equipment and developed a natural instinct for the work. What began as a personal project quickly became something he loved — and CFLM was born.
Based in Goshen, Ohio, we serve homeowners, farm owners, and rural property owners within a 60-mile radius who need their land cleared, managed, and prepared with care.
At the heart of our business is a commitment to stewardship — both in how we care for the land and how we serve the people who trust us with their property. That same mindset extends to our family operation. Rob’s son, Gavin, works alongside him when he’s not in school, while his daughter, Bree, brings her creative eye to content and marketing. Rob’s wife, Meg, helps with back office support and customer engagement. Together, they’ve built a business that feels less like a company and more like a family serving its community.
“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”
— Genesis 2:15
This verse reflects our approach to each job. Land management isn’t simply about removing trees, grinding stumps, or moving dirt. It’s about being good stewards of the property we’re trusted to work on and leaving each project better prepared for what comes next.
We specialize in forestry mulching and land clearing, with additional services including stump grinding, gravel driveway installation and maintenance, site preparation, and grading. Every project is quoted honestly and completed with professional-grade equipment and careful attention to the property.
When you work with Cornelius Forestry and Land Management, you’re not a ticket number or just another job on the schedule. You’re a neighbor — and we treat your property like it matters.
We keep things simple and transparent from the first call to the final walk-through. Here’s exactly what working with us looks like:
You reach out and we come to you. Rob visits your property in person to assess the scope of work, understand what you're trying to accomplish, and give you an honest quote — no pressure, no guessing, no hidden fees. We want you to know exactly what you're getting before we ever start an engine.
Once you're ready to move forward, we schedule your job and walk through any planning details — access points, disposal preferences, areas to avoid, and any special site conditions. Jobs are often booked out several weeks, especially in peak season, so we'll lock in your spot and communicate clearly about timing.
This is where the transformation happens. Our forestry mulcher tears through brush, trees, and overgrowth — turning vegetation into natural mulch right on-site. Depending on your project, we may also handle stump grinding, grading, gravel work, or site preparation as part of the same job visit.
When the work is done, we go through the property with you to make sure everything meets your expectations. The site is left clean and ready for whatever comes next — a building, a pasture, a driveway, or just clean, usable land. We don't consider the job done until you're satisfied.
Cornelius Forestry and Land Management offers a full range of land clearing and property preparation services across Southwest Ohio, Clermont County, Warren County, and the surrounding region. From dense woodland and overgrown brush to gravel driveways and building pads, we have the equipment and experience to get your land ready for whatever comes next.
Cornelius Forestry and Land Management provides professional forestry mulching, land clearing, stump grinding, gravel driveway, and site preparation services across a 60-mile radius of Goshen, Ohio. We work throughout Clermont County, Warren County, Clinton County, and the surrounding region — with a focus on rural and semi-rural properties where our equipment performs best.
Whether you’re in Milford or Blanchester, Mason or Sardinia- we have you covered. For jobs at the outer edge of our range, we coordinate equipment logistics to keep things cost-effective for you.
Rob's background is rooted in heavy equipment. We don't take on jobs that aren't a good fit, no work we're not equipped to do well. What we focus on, we do exceptionally: forestry mulching, land clearing, and property preparation for rural homes, farms, and acreage. When we show up, we know what we're doing.
Every job starts with a free on-site estimate and a clear understanding of your property and project goals. We believe in honest, straightforward pricing with no hidden fees, so you know what to expect from the beginning. As appointed stewards of the land, we take pride in treating your property with the same care and respect we would give our own.
At Cornelius Forestry and Land Management, we’re a family operation, and each member of our team plays a part in your experience from start to finish. Rob, his son Gavin, and the rest of the family are personally invested in the work we do and the relationships we build. We’re your neighbors, and we care about our reputation in this community. When we work on your property, we treat it with the same care and respect we would give our own.
Our company mission goes beyond just getting the job done. We believe in being good stewards of the land — working with it, not against it. Forestry mulching returns organic matter to the soil rather than carting off slash piles and leaving the ground bare. We think about the long-term health of your property, not just the short-term result. If you care about your land, you'll feel that in how we work.

The cost to clear an acre of land in Southwest Ohio varies based on what’s on that acre — lightly wooded brush clears faster and costs less than dense timber or heavily tangled undergrowth. Terrain, access, and what you want done with the cleared material also factor in. As a general guide, light clearing might run a few hundred dollars per acre while dense wooded clearing can run into the thousands. We price every job by walking it in person, not by guessing from an address. Reach out and we’ll give you a straightforward estimate.
Yes — residential land clearing is one of our core services. We work with homeowners across Goshen, Milford, Batavia, New Richmond, Wilmington, and throughout the region who are preparing rural and semi-rural lots for construction, clearing overgrown acreage, or reclaiming property that hasn’t been maintained. We prefer rural and semi-rural residential projects where our equipment is the right fit — if you’re not sure whether your property qualifies, just give us a call and we’ll let you know quickly.
Both services clear unwanted vegetation from your property, but they work differently. Traditional land clearing removes trees, brush, and debris and hauls everything away — leaving you with bare ground. Forestry mulching grinds everything in place and leaves a layer of mulch on the soil, which is better for soil health and erosion control. Mulching is also faster and often less disruptive than traditional clearing methods. The right choice depends on what you’re doing with the land afterward — we’ll help you pick the approach that makes the most sense for your project.
Absolutely. We handle stump grinding as a standalone service or as part of a larger land clearing or forestry mulching project. Grinding stumps during the same visit saves mobilization costs and leaves you with a seamlessly cleared property. We can grind stumps flush to the ground or below grade depending on what you’re planning to do with the land. If you have stumps left from a previous clearing job, we can come out for those too — just let us know what you’re working with.
Yes — gravel driveway installation and maintenance is part of our service lineup. We handle new driveway installation from grading and base prep through final gravel placement, and we also do repairs, regrading, pothole filling, and fresh top dressing for driveways that need attention. If you’re already having land cleared or a building pad prepared, it’s cost-effective to bundle driveway work into the same project visit. We install driveways on rural properties, farm lanes, and access roads throughout our Southwest Ohio service area.
